During the late 1990's, I was a stay-at-home mom suddenly thrust back into the work world as a single mom. It was a difficult and scary time but to my eternal gratitude rather than accepting a position at a credit card company, I took a chance on a business I knew nothing about - the behavioral healthcare field. I started with the RBHA of Maricopa County at that time - ComCare; where I was lucky enough to be given excellent opportunities. It was a tumultuous time but exciting and invigorating! ValueOptions was the next RBHA of Maricopa County and I was able to continue to progress in my career as well as meet and befriend some of the most wonderful people I know.
I did venture out; however, and went to work with one of the local providers. I also worked at a research institute that make and create genomic discoveries into advances in human health (you can only imagine the culture shock I felt leaving the warmth of social workers and human care people when I moved into the world of administrative scientists!). I went back "home" to behavioral health in 2006.
In 2007 I was approached by Gene Johnson about working at Recovery Innovations. I was hesitant, but as anyone who knows Gene, one has only to spend a few minutes with him to recognize the passion and compassion of the man, the company and the mission. I accepted his offer and with the deepest sincerity I find Recovery Innovations to be the best of the best. The people, the mission, the vision and the continuous growth and imagination brought to life at Recovery Innovations awes me on a daily basis.
During this time, my boys and I supported each other and made our family our finest consistent. I am proud of who they are and the men they are becoming. They truly are my favorite people! I have a wonderful and fulfilled life. It is a beautiful world and I'm grateful to be able to contribute to the world in powerful ways (bringing my boys into the world!) and and by working at the recovery premier... Recovery Innovations.
